Commodity Intelligence Report
May 15, 2006
Corn yield has been increasing for the past six years, reportedly due in part to the growing use of improved hybrids on some of Ukraine’s large agricultural enterprises. Yield for 2006 is forecast at an above-average level but lower than last year’s crop, which benefited from unusually favorable weather during the growing season and remarkably dry harvest weather.
