Commodity Intelligence Report
NDVI correlates with biomass. Typically, the higher the NDVI value, the more healthy/dense the vegetation. It is very apparent from the NDVI graphs that this year’s crop in Poland, Hungary and Romania is much farther along than the average year, and certainly farther along than last season’s slow developing crop. Soil moisture plummets rapidly in the spring in both Poland and Hungary, but is extremely low all season in Romania.
