Of the 43,000 enterprises involved in grain production, 75 percent were 250 hectares or smaller, and accounted for only 9 percent of total grain output. The total grain yield on the smallest enterprises (with fewer than 50 hectares) was less than half of the yield achieved on the largest enterprises. Source: State Statistical Committee of Ukraine.
