[Recent average daily temperatures have been above freezing in Krasnodar territory. Snow cover has begun to retreat, and the weather has likely been warm enough in some regions to enable winter crops to break dormancy and resume vegetative growth. Meanwhile, temperatures since mid-February have generally remained at or below freezing in Rostov oblast, directly to the north of Krasnodar.]
