Commodity Intelligence Report
MODIS satellite imagery from early November suggests vigorous winter-crop establishment shortly after the completion of planting despite persistent dryness during September and October. Conditions appear noticeably better in 2012 than indicated in imagery from a similar date last year. The better conditions are attributed to timely rainfall. Note that winter-crop development in 2011 was hampered by fall dryness.
