Above-average spring rainfall in 2015 enabled conditions to rebound for 2015/16 winter-wheat following  persistent dryness the previous autumn.   In contrast, 2012/13 wheat yield was reduced by the combination of fall dryness and continued below-normal precipitation in the spring of 2012.
