As a result of the enhanced capabilities provided through the satellite imagery Prime Vendor Contract, USDA-FAS/IPAD hosted an agriculture seminar on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 featuring ResourceSat AWiFS and LISS data. The seminar was held in Greenbelt, MD, beginning with a continental breakfast, followed by a variety of presentations from industry experts, who discussed such topics as data continuity of Resourcesat, operational programs using AWiFS, advanced data processing techniques for AWiFS, and sensor needs for agriculture and carbon management.
